The 31-day free trial
An eligible new subscription receives the trial displayed at Stripe checkout. The checkout states when the trial ends and when the chosen £3.99 monthly or £29.99 annual recurring charge begins. Trials already started keep the end date confirmed by Stripe. A previously used trial does not guarantee another free trial. Check the dates before confirming.
To avoid the first recurring charge, cancel before the trial's stated end date. Cancelling a free trial does not create a refund because no trial payment was collected.
Stopping future renewals
- Open Account & membership in the app.
- Choose Manage subscription to open Stripe's secure customer portal.
- Choose cancellation and confirm it.
- Check the confirmed end date before closing the portal.
Cancellation is normally scheduled for the end of the current trial or paid billing period. Premium remains available until the confirmed end date and does not renew after that date. Keep the confirmation for your records. Signing out, clearing browser storage or removing the app from your phone does not cancel a subscription.
If the portal does not work or you cannot sign in, email support@greenleafcooking.com and clearly ask to cancel. Include the account email so we can find the subscription. A cancellation reason is optional for a statutory cancellation request.
Your statutory cancellation rights
The free trial and cancellation of future renewals are separate from statutory consumer rights. UK consumers normally have a 14-day cancellation period when entering a new online service or digital-content contract, subject to the applicable legal rules. A free trial does not remove that right.
We do not ask you to waive your statutory cancellation rights through the app's checkout flow. To exercise a right to cancel, send a clear statement to support by email or post within the applicable period. You do not need to use a special form or give a reason. Tell us that you are exercising a statutory cancellation right so we can deal with it rather than only schedule the next renewal to stop.
You may use this wording:
I give notice that I cancel my Green Leaf Cooking Premium contract. My account email is [email]. The contract started on [date]. My name is [name].
Where the law requires a refund, it will be made without undue delay and within the applicable legal deadline, normally within 14 days after we are informed of the cancellation. We use the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed, with no refund fee. Any lawful adjustment must be explained and supported by the applicable rules; ordinary use of the app is not treated as an automatic waiver.
Refunds and service problems
Ordinary end-of-period cancellation stops a future renewal and does not automatically refund a correctly collected current-period payment. That does not limit a statutory cancellation right, a remedy for a service problem, or a request about a duplicate or incorrect charge.
Email support@greenleafcooking.com with the account email, payment date, amount and a brief explanation of the issue. Requests are considered promptly. Do not send complete card details. If we cannot resolve a complaint straight away, we will explain the next steps.
Payment failures
If a collection fails, Manage subscription lets you review the invoice and update the payment method. Contact support if you cannot access the portal or believe a payment is incorrect.
